Shrove Tuesday

On Tuesday the 4th of March 2025 the worship team led the Collective worship. It was all about Shrove Tuesday and pancakes. The team took turns to read from the PowerPoint they had selected and a prayer was read, written by two of the team members. The themes explored were why Christians have pancake day and the links this has to the story of Jesus in the desert and resisting the temptations of the devil. The rest of the children joined in with suggestions of what their own favourite pancake toppings are, and if there was anything they might want to ‘give up’ for Lent, to remember Jesus fasting in the desert.
