The children continue to enjoy listening tot he wonderful stories from the New and Old Testament delivered through the puppetry and story-telling skills of Mr. and Mrs. Bridden who bring them “to life”.
“God’s Wonderful World” is the first story of the new academic year and the children, as always, were thrilled and excited to see them both with their entourage of puppet characters. They were immediately immersed into the story’s plot as the puppets brought the content to life, through their singing and expert storytelling. Then, as always, the children return from these Worships very animated and excited demonstrating the powerful impact these sessions have.
Mr. and Mrs. Bridden are clearly both passionate about helping to develop children’s understanding and love of the stories within the Bible which is very evident in the children’s response to the Worships which are so magical.
Mr. and Mrs. Bridden were eager to report to staff that, “The children are always so engaged with the puppets and love to meet them. They are always so well behaved during the show and it is lovely to hear the young children talk to the puppets and ask questions.”
These visits are so integral to the delivery and content of the school’s daily Collective Worship and not only help to develop the children’s understanding and recall of the stories from both the Old and New Testaments, but also provide inspiration for past and current Worship Monitors as they work towards developing their own style to lead and inspire others.
Worship is an important part of each school day and we are pleased that Mr. and Mrs. Bridden are an integral part of this.
