Our Value for Life this term is Forgiveness-
Compassion – we hope your family will find these ideas helpful as you explore the value and have fun together

Caring and sharing as part of God’s family

“Loving our neighbour as we love ourselves” – Luke 10:27

Our six core values: service, friendship, trust, respect, generosity and compassion underpin everything we do.

We pride ourselves by providing a school community where we strive to achieve our full potential in a safe, nurturing environment with Christian Values at our heart.

“Loving our neighbour as we love ourselves” (Luke 10:27)

These key aspects of our vision drive all that we do in school. We return to our vision every school year with the children, staff, governors and parents.

We encourage our children to be involved in their natural, countryside environment and take responsibility for it within their own community.

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him” Colossians 1:16

Examples of this include our involvement in the Wildflower project where the School council wanted the school to be actively involved in this and we created 9 wildflower gardens in  the village.

A twice yearly event entitled ‘Walk of words’ where around the church and village, children represent a biblical quote in a contemporary way through Art.

We complete a well- dressing linked to nature and allows us to practise this skill which is a valued part of the village.

We are a Peak Park Ambassador school: involved with the promotion and protection of the environment. This included planting of trees for the coronation. We will be involved in the Renovation of the pond at the Youth Hostel.

We are also guided by the C of E 5 Marks of Mission which encourage us to :

  • TELL (through sharing God’s word through Biblical stories)
  • TEACH (through our curriculum)
  • TEND (through our nurture and love for each other)
  • TRANSFORM (through the way we encourage children to be advocates of change)–
  • TREASURE (through the way all their fruits of the spirit and talents are valued)
