On Wednesday 14th October, Hartington School was delighted to welcome parents, governors and members of our local community to our Macmillan Coffee Event, Cake and Calculations. It was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together, enjoy a chat, support a fantastic cause, all while enjoying plenty of tea, coffee and, of course, eating lots of delicious cake!
Despite technical errors everyone also played TTRock Stars on the school iPads, having lots of fun, hearing roars of laughter whilst adults and children were all competing for the winning spots. A parent was quoted saying, ‘What a lovely way to way to spend and afternoon while raising money for such a worthy cause’.
Special thanks as always go to our very own Katie Kitchen for the delicious cakes and biscuits and also to everyone who attended and baked. The school raised a magnificent £240 for MacMillan.
