On the afternoon of Friday 27th September, the local community and school came together to support MacMillan Cancer Research by holding a Coffee Afternoon in the school hall.
Mrs Liz Broomhead rallied the locals and helped to decorate the school and tables and a wealth of delicious cakes, scones, meringues, muffins and tray bakes were generously provided by parents and our own wonderful Katie White who managed to create a medley of marvelous treats while still running a busy school kitchen!
An afternoon Quiz put together Kieran, and delivered by Dallas, of The Devonshire Arms raised giggles across the audience and was won by The Naughty Diddly Squat Team! (A winning combo of children and parents!) Who got to share a big tub of Celebrations.
The event has raised a total of £275! An amazing result for such a small school.
