VE Day 2025

To mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day in school we held a special series of collective worships, thinking about the meaning of VE Day and why it is important to remember the events of 80 years ago. Children in class 1 have also been researching VE Day and some of the events of the Second World War through literacy activities.

Tuesday’s craft club also created a beautiful display of art work, drawing pictures onto fabric and then colouring using the fabric pens. These were attached together with ribbon as a patchwork hanging to be displayed within school.

At midday on Thursday 8th of May 2025 we held a two minute silence along with the nation to remember those who gave so much for us and our futures.
