Despite Omicron, Santa flew into Hartington in his sleigh mobile to the sound of shrieks and howls of the delighted children and staff. We were all glad to find out that we were not on the ‘naughty’ list and all the children received a gift, which they asked to open together once Santa had continued on his journey back to the North Pole. Before he left they sang jingle bells and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, then waved as he left Hartington. What a wonderful way to end the school’s traditional Christmas lunch Day, which was lovingly cooked as always by Mrs Stubbs the school’s catering manager.
