Pick it up for the Peaks!

On the afternoon of Monday 13th July, we were joined by George Harste, Peak Ranger and a volunteer to discuss the impact of litter and pollution on the local environment and how long it takes some of our everyday rubbish to finally degrade which was a real eye-opener!

Did you know that by 2050 there could be more plastic than fish in the sea?!

The whole school then joined the rangers to get out and about around the village to litter pick.  A great afternoon was had by all and a successful time spent “Picking it up for the Peaks!”
