On Monday 18th of May 2026 the whole school travelled to Biggin C of E Primary schools for this terms schools together. The focus was ‘Unfailing Love’. Today’s Bible passage that the children learnt was from Isaiah 54:10 “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken…”
The bible says that God has an unfailing, never ending, unconditional love for people. The children made links to previous Bible passages and stories we have focused on at school’s together. We continued to make these links when thinking about God helping people, e.g. Jairus’ daughter by healing the little girl.
Today’s activities included ‘hunt the mountain’, naming hill and mountain features of our landscape around us and in what direction these were. The children each had the opportunity to take part in rock painting, creating their own representation of ‘The purple headed mountains’. The also each made a card into which they wrote a prayer.
Snack time was a super treat, with a ‘purple headed mountain biscuit provided for us by Katie.
