In Key Stage 1 as part of the PSHE curriculum, the children have been learning about road safety. Using the sign posts we practiced in school, identifying different rules we should be following and how we can cross the road safely. Through this role play the children were able to experience situations from different points of view.
We then took this learning out and about within the village to put it into practice. The children were able to identify signs we saw as we went and say what these meant. We practiced finding a safe place to cross the road in the village and implemented our prior learning.
