Mental Health Awareness Week

During the week of May 11th 2026, we took part in a series of Mental Health awareness week assemblies. The children learnt about what mental health was and why it is as important to look after your mental health as well as your physical health.

Mental health is all about how we are feeling, the thoughts we are having and how this affects the choices we make and how we behave.

It is also about how we are able to cope with what is happening in our daily lives.

As part of these assemblies we joined in with the ‘Joe Wicks big school workout for mental health week.’ This was a massive, nation-wide fitness event led by fitness coach Joe Wicks, in partnership with picture news, to show children how physical movement boosts mental well-being.
