Class 1 Space Rocket!

As part of our topic on Neil Armstrong, Class One have been comparing the 1969 moon landing to the recent space mission by Artemis 2. We have been finding out about space, planets and astronauts and have built our very own space rocket in the classroom!

Construction began with banana boxes and paper tape……

We painted the inner packaging to look like the corrugated panels of the rocket.

We printed repeating patterns to be the buttons in the interior.

Added lights, stars and planets.

And countdown began…. For the moon!!!!!!!!!!
