Pottery Day

On Friday 6th February the whole school enjoyed a day of creating with clay under the guidance of Mrs Cheryl Frost our visiting potter!

KS1 interviewed Mrs Frost about her work with clay and what led her to becoming a potter.  This was part of their art this term looking at the medium of pottery and sculpture.

The theme for the day was for the children to create their own sculptures of small native British wild animals and a wonderful time was had by all making lots of adorable rabbits and mice!

Mrs Frost has taken the creations away to be glazed and fired and we hope to have them back in school in the next couple of weeks.
