Daniel in the lion’s den

On Friday 23rd of January 2026 Mr and Mrs Briddon from MAST came to retell us a story from the Old Testament, using the puppets.

This retelling of the story of Daniel in the Lion’s den tells us how Daniel was taken prisoner as a teenager to Babylon. There, he prayed to God, even though others prayed to statues. He continued to trust God throughout his life and because of this the King in Babylon respected him for staying true to his beliefs.

In the lions den Daniel prayed to God, who saved him from the lions. This showed the king of Babylon the power of God and so the king ordered that all the people of Babylon should worship God too.
