On Thursday 15th January we were joined in school by Hannah Will from MAST, who told us the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand.
Using props, the children took on the roles of Jesus and his friends to reenact the story.
The feeding of the 5000 is a famous New Testament miracle where Jesus miraculously multiplied five loafs of bread and two fish to feed a large ground of about 5,000 men, plus women and children, with leftovers filling twelve baskets demonstrating divine provision and his Messiaship.
The feeding of the 5,000 teaches that when we trustingly place even our most meagre resources into Jesus’ hands, His divine power can multiply them to abundantly satisfy both our physical and spiritual hungers.
