We are at that time of year once again, when the sound of music, songs and laughter, fill the classrooms and corridors within the school. Yes, that most wonderful time of the year has arrived in the form of the Christmas Nativity.
Children were deciding which part they were going to have, which costumes they were going to wear, which songs and dances they needed to learn, then how the story of that first Christmas was going to be told to families and friends. Teachers were busily writing scripts and gathering together the songs to be sung and the dances to be learnt.
Following all the hard work both by children and staff the night of the Nativity finally arrived on Thursday 11th December. WOW! What a wonderful evening everyone had.
As always, the children rose to the occasion and delivered an outstanding performance, telling this most special story of the birth of Jesus. The audience responded in kind, with cheers, whoops of delight and thunderous clapping.
Then following the Nativity and in tradition with previous years, a Pea and Pie supper was hosted by the PTA in the Village Hall. As always, the food was delicious which was reflected in the numerous compliments made.
As always for an event of this magnitude to be as successful as it always is a lot of hard work takes place by the School Family of children, staff and PTA.
Thank you all and have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
