Toilet Day 2025 was on Wednesday the 19th of November. As part of this day the children had a whole school assembly where we learnt about the action being taken to try to raise awareness and achieve the goal of clean water and sustainable sanitation for all by 2030. Each of the children took home a leaflet to help them to inform families about this cause.
As part of our commitment towards being courageous advocates and helping others we have twinned our toilets in school with a toilet in Pulka, Gwoza, Nigeria. The children and staff were shocked to learn that there are currently 4.2 billion people around the world who live without access to safe sanitation!
On Monday the school council will visit St. Giles’ church to learn about their current project called the 3 C’s – Coffee, community and convenience. This is where funds are being raised to build a toilet at the church to help support the inclusion of all in attending church events. Links will be made to the Toilet Twinning and how everyone should have access to sanitation.
