The week didn’t have the best start to it weather-wise, but by Wednesday the clouds had rolled back as our year six children came ready to school for the annual visit to Whitehall Outdoor Pursuit Centre with fellow pupils from our cluster school partners. This event is planned to support the transition to key stage 3 and the continued development of their own individual personal goals and aims.
Wow what an excellent time the children had from the moment they left the school to when they returned home on the Friday wanting to share their adventures, and despite their tiredness, still full of excitement! There was talk of zip-lines, rock climbing, canoeing, night-time hikes and so much more.
These experiences are always high on the highlights and treasured memories of individual accounts our children recall long after leaving the school and the school is extremely grateful to our PTA who fund this event. The year five children can’t wait until it is their turn!
