As part of our commemoration of the 80th anniversary of VE and VJ Day this years Wells Dressing is that of an RAF Spitfire in flight. The dressing of the Well is completed in partnership with the Village Community as it is important to maintain a link with local traditions. Through Worship the children have been taught a brief history of this tradition and all have had the opportunity in the creation of the Well.
As a follow up to previous Worship content about VE day and making links to their previous visit to the Stockport Air Raid Shelters in the summer term, the children have learnt about VJ day and how Christians can find peace through their faith in God and Jesus, using stories from the Bible including the Story of Jesus calming the storm.
