Florence Nightingale

In history during summer term 2 2025, the children in EYFS and KS1 have been learning about Florence Nightingale and the impact she had on hospitals and how this influence can still be felt today. The EYFS children used role play to explore hospital practices and bandage up their friends. We made lamps so we could practice being the ‘Lady of the lamp’ and the children could develop a better understanding of why Florence Nightingale was given this nickname. This proved to be a very popular activity with repeated requests to keep the resources available!
