Musical Concert

Following a term of hard work learning songs, musical compositions with actions or using glockenspiels, untuned percussion instruments and also using the Makaton language program which has been developed to support people with learning or communication difficulties to sign the words of the songs. As always, the children rose to the occasion and delivered a truly inspirational programme under the guidance of Mrs Rachel Wilkes from the Music Partnership.

The content of the programme was provided from the curriculum units of work studied during the year and varied from Plants to our Bodies, from Forces to Tropical Rain forests and Weather to Seasons. what a wonderful way to see and hear the curriculum come to life! It was wonderful to see the sheer wonder and excitement on the children’s faces during the performance, then look over to the audience and seeing the smiles as well as the sharing of tissues as they wiped away the tears from their eyes.

A huge thanks and round of applause to the children and Rachel for providing such a special event. Many wonderful memories were made on that day and we all look forward to the next time.

Have a wonderful and safe summer everyone.
