World Book day

World Book day fell on Thursday 2nd March but as a school we decided to dress up on Friday so everyone could take part.  Children were asked to chose a word  from the dictionary that they could dress up as. Other pupils had to guess what the word was. The head teacher Mrs Blackwell chose the work ‘Sparkle’ and dressed in sparkly clothes even adding glitter to her face!

The catering manager showed off her talent by creating these wonderful looking cakes that were in the shape of a book. She also carefully scribed text on to them making the cake looks even more realistic. The children didn’t know whether to eat or read them!

Can you guess from the picture below who was which word? The words included: Bat, Jokey, Casual, Normal, Individual, Scientist, Ice-Queen, Super hero, Farmer, Ringmaster, Skeleton, Iron man, Blue and Camouflage.
