To help to raise funds for the BBC’s Children in Need campaign this year we all came to school in ‘Dress your best’, and gave a donation. The children had an assembly where we learnt about what Children in Need is and some of the different ways that people raise money for this very worthy cause. We also thought about some of the organisations that Children in Need support, and how these help children around the country. We managed to raise £45.00 through everyone’s generosity.
This was a positive way to end this week after we had been thinking about anti-bullying and this year’s campaign ‘Power for Good’. This has also been covered as part of the PSHE curriculum across the school. Children in class 1 produced posters titles ‘Make a noise about bullying’ to emphasize the importance of speaking out if you are being bullied or see someone else being bullied.
