On Friday 24th February – John Dean and Les Baynton from the British Heart Foundation attended Community Lunch. Following which they then presented the children of Hartington School with the ‘Challenge Trophy’ for raising the most money at the British Heart Foundation swim back in October 2016. They raised a fantastic total of £1729.31 (with a little help from Mr Dean our youngest swimmer!).
Les Baynton read a wonderful poem called “Straight from the Heart” and presented the children with three books of poems written by himself. ‘Poems & Pictures’, ‘The Punch from Outer Space’ and ‘The Little Book of Very Strange Verse’
