On Thursday 26th of February 2026 Hannah Will joined us in school to deliver worship. The focus was thinking about Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday, thinking about Jesus\u2019 death and resurrection.<\/p>\n

E M P T Y<\/p>\n

Hannah asked the children \u2018How would you feel if something you were expecting to be full was empty?\u2019 The children thought about examples such as a box of chocolates or a birthday gift and how they would feel disappointed.<\/p>\n

The Bible says \u2018The universe was empty\u2019 in the book of Genesis. God didn\u2019t want a big, dark, empty world, so He made a beautiful world full of things for us to enjoy.<\/p>\n

However, in the world, empty isn\u2019t always bad. For example, an empty homework book, an empty theme park, the sky being empty of rain clouds when you are on a day out.<\/p>\n

The Bible tells us that one empty was better than all the others \u2013 Jesus\u2019 empty tomb!<\/p>\n

Jesus died on the cross because people need someone who has never done anything wrong to take the punishment for all people.<\/p>\n

Jesus\u2019 tomb being empty means that He defeated sin and death, and that now everyone can be forgiven and live with Jesus in Heaven forever. As we enjoy our Easter eggs this Easter lets remember that when we open the egg and the inside of the egg is hollow (empty) we can remember the empty tomb and the news this brings us that Jesus loves us.<\/p>\n
