Comic Relief was introduced on the BBC live on Christmas Day in 1985. It was set up by famous film writer and director Richard Curtis and friends. BBC1 showed the charity\u2019s first live, fundraising show called \u2018A Night of Comic Relief\u2019 on the 5th of February 1988. This was also called the first Red Nose Day because this was the first-time people could buy the famous Red Noses.<\/p>\n

Comic Relief raises money using comedy and entertainment in order to help people in need all over the world so here at Hartington on Friday 21st March the pupils decided to \u2018Dress their Best\u2019 to support this worthwhile annual charity event.<\/p>\n

Everyone looked wonderful dressed in their own clothes which ranged from children in red, streaked hair, ribbons, sparkles, football kits and much more including wearing this years Red Noses throughout the day. This was a little difficult though when dancing in the afternoon, but that didn\u2019t stop the fun and laughter. Everyone is already looking forward to next year.<\/p>\n
