On Friday 14th of March 2025 we went to St. Giles\u2019 Church in Hartington for School\u2019s together. The focus this term was \u2018Precious and loved by God\u2019.<\/p>\n

The theme and key ideas were that Christians believe that God created everything including people. Christian\u2019s believe that God loves people like a good Father loves his children. Christians believe that God cares for His creation \u2013 He provides what small birds need and knows when one dies. Christians believe that God values people much more than the small birds He knows and cares for so much.<\/p>\n

The children were involved in opening prayers and took part in the dramatised re-telling of Mark 10:13-16 \u2018Let the children come to me.\u2019<\/p>\n

The activity zones included:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Prayers of Love (these have been displayed on the reflection area in the hall at school) \u2018Thank you God that you love me\u2019<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Mirror prayers \u2013 \u2018Look in the mirror. What do you see?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Colour zone \u201cLet the children come to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Craft zone \u2013 paper plate faces. \u201cGod even knows how many hairs are on your head.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Book and word zone \u2013 Read the story again in one of the Bibles.<\/p>\n

The children showed enjoyment in each of these areas and joined in well with prayers and songs. Everyone enjoyed one of Katie Kitchen\u2019s fabulous blue bird biscuits to round off the morning.<\/p>\n

Dear Father God, you made us all<\/p>\n

And every creature, great and small,<\/p>\n

Is fed by you and in your care,<\/p>\n

Because your love is everywhere.<\/p>\n

May we know your love, Lord Jesus,<\/p>\n

Put love into our hearts \u2013<\/p>\n

Love for you;<\/p>\n

Love for ourselves;<\/p>\n

And love for those around us.<\/p>\n

Go with us Father, throughout this day.<\/p>\n

Be with us in our school work and in our play;<\/p>\n

May all that we say and all that we do,<\/p>\n

Be kind and pleasing to you.<\/p>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n
